Ooh what a good one to kick off with! I think for me it is Miss Peregrine because that's the one I would take home if I saw the four of them lined up on a shelf. Floors is huge fun too though :D

I love the Miss Peregrine cover too - and it's on my TBR list. However the detailing on Department 19 is stunning. Nice collection here.

Interesting covers!
I think I like "Arthur Slade - Empire of Ruins" the best.

I think the Floors cover is the best! Very interesting, I think Patrick Carman did a great job with it!

Patrick Carman's Floors is one of the best books I read all year! I think the cover is the best also!!

Wow, this is a tough one to call. I love all of these covers, and all for very different reasons.

I've already cast my vote in the poll, though, so won't sway it further by 'voting' again here. Good luck to all involved, though!

Oh, toughie! Slade's "Empire of Ruins" is exciting, but I have to go with Carman's "Floors". I haven't read either, but "Floors" has just the sort of whimsical cover that I love!

There can be only one - Department 19 all the way for me (at least that is what my son has instructed me to say as he loved the first book so much).

Wow - difficult choice I went for the Miss Peregrine cover as its what drew me to the book in the first place. Exactly what a good cover should do.

Thanks

The Floors cover is the best, anything by Patrick Carman is!

Yeah, this is a real toughie... on the one hand, Miss Peregrine's is an excellent cover, and I've seen many people in my bookshop pick it up on that alone. But on the other, the Department 19 cover is just so explosive, and you know the kind of fun you're going to get once you turn the page. Which is why, in the end, I went with Department 19. Go, exploding knives, go!

Wow. I love Sarwat Chadda's books.
Okay. Me. I like the cover of Department 19 because it makes me wanna read it and it's cool. And just by looking at the cover i can already feel the tension and suspence pouring through. Plus the other covers are just too spooky, no offence to those who like it, or not my thing.

The Miss Peregrine cover is definitely my favorite! It caught my eye when I first heard about the book.

I literally walked into a book store and chose Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children based on the cover alone. I think the cover of the book should draw you into the story before you ever open the book....and this one does just that.

Ms. Peregrine, obviously.

Not only is Miss Peregrine's cover beautiful, but it matches perfectly with the haunting story.

I love the cover of Miss Peregrine... Just the right touch of 'peculiar' to draw in the reader.

All are great but Miss Peregrine rules. I wanted this book the moment I saw the cover.

It has to be Miss Peregrine. What a lovely, unexpected cover. Totally different to all the others.

Miss Peregrine's cover is haunting and unique. I would definitely pick that book to read over the others if I saw them lined up on a shelf :)

Absolutely intrigued by the Miss P cover. Definitely the one I'd pick up in the store. Off to tweet the comp right now, Vincent!

It was very nearly Miss Peregrine for me too, very atmospheric. But I love the Floors one, so much going on and so intriguing! I'd pick that one up knowing nothing about the book, solely based on the cover.

I've also gone with the Miss Peregrine cover, it's so unusual and really catches the eye. This year I've become a fan of Arthur Slade's writing and have enjoyed the first two Hunchback books.

I'm going with the Peculiar Children, because the cover and the title work so well together. But I'm pretty sure I'm going to search them all out to read!
Floors looks like great fun and the cover makes me want to read it.

Such a hard choice to make but my favourite is 'Floors'.The cover is amazing like a mini work of art.

I voted for Miss Peregrine as that cover had me captivated as soon as I saw it! Not sure if my voted registered as it went to an error message on submission. :0/

Having said that, the artwork on Empire of Ruins is fantastic! Tough choice!

Miss Peregrine is my favourite cover. Totally unexpected and unique. It's also nice to see how well a black and white cover can work. Plus it conveys what eerie treasures might lie within.

Voted dept 19. Just stands out.
No contest, Will Hill-Department 19:The Rising wins hands down for me. I would definatly pick this book up in a shop (especially since I loved book 1 so much)

To be honest, when I first started reading "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" I expected a haunting thriller, full of horror and danger. That is not what this book is. Instead, this book is fantasy/adventure combined with a very unique style of photography, which made the book better than I ever thought it would be.
