MR RIPLEY'S ENCHANTED BOOKS: Children's Book Cover Illustration Competition - ROUND FIVE - 2024/25

We welcome YOU once again to Mr Ripley's Enchanted Books 15th Annual Children's Book Cover Illustration Competition! This vibrant event showcases and celebrates the incredible talent and creativity of artists from all around the world. As we continue to foster a love for highlighting the unsung heroes/teams of our favourite book covers.  Join us on this exciting journey and spread the word as we embark on another year of discovering extraordinary artistry that brings enchanting stories to life through the power of illustrations. Get ready to unleash your inner artist and be a part of this remarkable celebration of children's illustration and design! Previous winners HERE!

Mr. Ripley's Enchanted Book Cover Competition Rules 

There will be FIVE (5 OF 5) weekly heats; each with SIX books to vote for. Although there will be 7 book covers in the final to vote for. All heat winners will make the grand final plus two book covers WITH the highest number of votes from all the previous heats.

Mr. Ripley's Enchanted Books - Children's Book Cover Friendly Tussle - Round TWO 2021/2022

Welcome to the 12th annual Children's Book Cover Friendly Tussle. (Previous winner HEREWe are looking once again to find your favourite book cover for 2021/2022. We do this to support the creative heroes of the children's book world; the illustrators and the creative teams behind all the books we love. Mr Ripley's book cover wars final 2016/17 has now come to a final end. After four cracking heats, we now have another fantastic winner.......

Mr Ripley's Book Cover Wars Final Winner 2015/16 - M. G. Leonard - 'Beetle Boy' Illustrated by Juila Sarda


Mr Ripley's book cover wars final has now come to an end. After four exciting heats, we now have a fantastic winner.......

As usual I would like to thank the many people who have supported the
 book cover wars. I hope that you too have had as much fun as I have - either as an observer or a contender.


Altogether 1,550 votes were cast over five weeks, which just highlights the interest that this competition generates. In the final there were 690 votes in total, amazing. Thank you all once again.

Book Cover Wars is back again for another exciting year and we are looking for a new worthy winner. Mr Ripley's Book Cover Wars Final Winner 2014/15 - M. G. Harris/Gerry Anderson's - Gemini Force One


Mr Ripley's book cover wars final has now come to an end. After four exciting heats, we now have a worthy winner.......

As usual I would like to thank the many people who have supported the
 book cover wars. Although this idea is now in its sixth year I still find the whole process tremendously exciting! I hope that you too have had as much fun as I have - either as an observer or a contender.

Altogether 1,800 votes were cast over five weeks, which just highlights the interest that this competition generates. In the final there were 918 votes in total, amazing. Thank you all once again.

Mr Ripley's Enchanted Books Cover Wars Final 2013/2014 - Plus Book Swag Competition - Angie Sage/Matt Whyman/ Sean Williams

This is the big final for the book cover wars for 2013/134 - are you ready to vote?

Over the last four weeks, different authors and illustrators and publishers have battled for their book covers to be voted into the grand final. As a result, we now have five worthy winners who now have the chance to be crowned with the title 'Mr Ripley's Enchanted book cover of the year'. So without any further waiting, let the final battle commence . . . .
